Beginning in 2018, we knew that the only way to make a big impact on Recreation in our community, was to form a non-profit so we could begin the long path of fundraising,
Veterans Field is one of Sunapee’s most seen areas in our town, but by no means is it the most up to date facility. We want that to change. We have a vision that includes a complete overhaul, we want Sunapee to have a place where ALL residents of the town can feel welcome to use.
Our phase 1 plans include an upgraded basketball and pickleball court, upgraded skate park, new storage facility with ADA compliant restrooms, a snack bar, and designated parking.
The next phases will re configure the ball field, expand the soccer field, create more seating areas, and improve drainage.
This task is a large one, but we believe through fundraising and community involvement, we can get the job done.
Sunapee Recreation offers so many wonderful programs, we want to see those programs thrive!
